Yesterday we kicked off our flagship Communacopia + Technology Conference in San Francisco, where we are hosting 260 of the biggest tech companies. Day 1 saw key names present, such as GOOGL, AVGO, SNOW, ABNB, RDDT, among others. 1/ Broadcom – Sales (h/t Giulio Esposito) joined a strong presentation with CEO Hock Tan for the first trillion dollar club keynote to a full ballroom. CEO noted that the majority of value will continue accruing to leading frontier model developers. Broadcom noted that a 1GW AI cluster can generate roughly $30bn of revenue versus ~$10bn of annual operating costs, and highlighted that frontier models generate roughly 75% of industry revenue despite similar levels of investment to open-weight ecosystems. Management also highlighted its long-term TPU partnership with Google through 2031, its OpenAI Jalapeno custom silicon program, and its strategic relationship with Anthropic – emphasising its deepening relationships with frontier AI labs and hyperscalers to orchestrate high leverage ROI. Finally, management reaffirmed its FY27/FY28 AI revenue targets of $115 bn /$230 bn, while the $35 bn XPV partnership is designed to accelerate AI infrastructure buildouts, funding more than 20GW of compute capacity while minimising balance sheet risk.

2/ Databricks – Sales (h/t Giulio Esposito) saw Founder & CEO on stage to a packed main ballroom, arguing that while AI is viewed as strategically critical 90% of enterprise leaders, adoption remains early, with relatively few organisations deploying autonomous agents at scale across core business workflows. The focus is increasingly shifting from AI as a chatbot to AI as an operational layer that changes how companies run functions such as finance, sales, and compliance. Management emphasised the importance of allowing customers to leverage multiple foundation models while automatically routing workloads to the most cost-effective provider.
