Centrica and X-energy advance UK Nuclear plans with Xe-100 reactor Design Review
Centrica and X-Energy announced that UK regulators accepted X-energy’s Xe-100 advanced Modular reactor into the Generic Design Assessment (GDA) process, which is expected to last around 3 years. The partnership aims to deploy up to 6 GW of new nuclear capacity in the UK (10 to 20 Xe-100 power stations) with the first project planned for Hartlepool. Source: Press Release
Nordex secures 91 MW wind turbine order in Brandenburg, Germany
Nordex announced a 91 MW order from TEUT Energieprojekte GmbH to supply and install 13 of its N163/6.X wind turbines for the Schönermark-Passow wind farm in Brandenburg, Germany. The contract also includes a 20-year Premium Service agreement, marking the tenth project between Nordex and TEUT for a total joint capacity to 252 MW. Pennon’s South West Water sees customer complaints double

It has been reported that Germany is considering introducing relief measures amid high fuel prices with measures not having been finalised but expected to be presented soon.. The German finance ministry said that it would advocate for a European decision on a windfall tax on excessive profits at the next European economy minsters meeting.
