Analysis What were the key drivers of the quarterly variance?

On a pre-tax basis, results were only marginally above our numbers. Lower than expected cost of revenues was partly offset by lower operating revenues, resulting in higher gross margin, which was mostly offset by higher total expenses when compared to our estimates. Lower than expected income taxes drove the bottom line beat to our numbers.
