Latam Daily: Steep Rise in Mexican International Trade • Mexico: The trade balance posted a favourable performance, growing at a double- digit pace in June GLOBAL ECONOMICS In June 2026, Mexico’s foreign trade maintained a favourable performance, with exports totaling USD 72.551 billion and imports reaching USD 68.461 billion (chart 1), resulting in a LATAM DAILY trade surplus of USD 4.089 billion. Exports surged by 34.4% year over year, led by non- automotive manufacturing exports (48.8%) and oil exports (43.4%), while automotive July 27, 2026 exports expanded at a more moderate pace (7.6%). Meanwhile, agricultural exports declined by 2.8%. Imports also showed strong momentum, though to a lesser extent, Contributors increasing by 28.0% year over year. Intermediate goods led the advance, rising by 30.9%, Juan Manuel Herrera, Director followed by consumer goods (23.5%), while capital goods posted a more modest increase (Mexico) of 8.8%.
